Some days, I feel completely drained. The kids are loud, the dishes are in the sink, and it seems like all of my days are a blur. I can't remember the last time I had a full night of sleep, or even a single uninterrupted thought.
Burnout isn't just tiredness; it's that deep exhaustion that makes even the smallest things feel impossible. If you're a parent, the highs are incredible, but the lows can hit so hard that you feel like you may crumble under the weight.
I want to say this clearly, because it matters so much. I love my kids with my whole heart. Being their mom is the greatest blessing in my life. But that doesn't mean it isn't hard sometimes.
But here is what I need to tell myself, and as a reminder to you, you are enough. Even on the messy and chaotic days, when it sometimes seems like nothing is going according to plan. Just showing up, loving fiercely, and trying your best is enough.
Some days, surviving is all you can manage. Maybe it's pouring that extra cup of coffee, letting the dishes sit, or stealing five quiet minutes. Maybe it's just breathing, one breath at a time, and reminding yourself that this weight isn't forever.
It's okay to pause and refill your cup. If you are reading this and feeling that heaviness pressing down, I get it. I want you to remember, you are doing an amazing job, even when it feels like nothing is working.
Give yourself a little grace today. You deserve it too.
