Life Got Busy

It’s been a few weeks since I last sat down to write.

Life has a way of doing that, doesn’t it? The days fill up, responsibilities stack higher, and before you know it, something you love quietly slips to the side. Not because it doesn’t matter, but because everything else felt louder in the moment.

And if I’m being honest, part of me wondered if I should even come back.

Would anyone still be reading?

Would it still matter?

But here’s what I’m learning, showing up again matters more than showing up perfectly.

There’s something powerful about returning. About picking back up, even when the rhythm feels a little off. Even when the words don’t come as easily at first.

Because this space, whatever it is for you, isn’t about perfection. It’s about connection. It’s about honesty. It’s about the small, meaningful moments we choose to share.

Over the past few weeks, life has been full. Some days felt heavy, some were beautiful, and most were a mix of both. There were moments of laughter, moments of exhaustion, and moments where I just needed to pause and breathe.

And maybe that’s what this break was, a pause, not an ending.

So here I am again. Not with everything figured out. Not with a perfect plan. But with a heart that still wants to share, encourage, and connect.

If you’ve taken a step back from something you love—this is your reminder: you can always come back.

No guilt.

No pressure.

Just start again.

I’d love to hear from you, what have you been up to lately?

Tiny Wins That Make Life Awesome

Some days, it feels like life is just...a lot. But the truth is, happiness often hides in the tiniest moments, and noticing them can turn any ordinary day into an extraordinary day. Unexpected compliments, a smile from a stranger, someone letting you go in front of them in the line at the grocery store, or just offering them a helping hand.

Finding money you forgot about, that $5 in your pocket that you forgot about, feels like hitting the jackpot. A favorite snack for you in the refrigerator or in the pantry. Moments that make you laugh out loud, whether it's a silly meme or your pet doing something goofy.

Your favorite song playing on the radio, a hug from a loved one. Finding the perfect spot in a parking lot, that's a good one. A pretty sunrise or sunset that makes you stop and take a picture. A kind text from a friend or family member, holding the door for someone, or someone holding the door for you.

Self-care wins are also great. Completing a task that you had to put off, going for a walk, or taking a power nap (I wish I could do this more often!) A phone call that ends with laughter.

Life is full of little wins, big smiles, and unexpected joy. Take a minute today to notice it.

This Week Has Been Hard

 This week has been hard.

Not just the kind of hard where you’re busy and tired, but the kind that sits heavy on your chest. The kind where even simple things feel overwhelming, and you can’t quite explain why.

I’ve still shown up. I’ve taken care of my kids, made meals, handled the everyday things that don’t stop just because you’re struggling. But inside, it’s felt different. Heavier. Quieter. Like I’ve been carrying something I can’t fully put into words.

And I know I’m not the only one who feels this way sometimes.

We don’t talk about mental health enough, especially as moms. We talk about being tired, busy, stressed… but not always about the deeper stuff. The anxiety. The emotional exhaustion. The moments where you feel like you’re just trying to hold it all together.

There’s this unspoken pressure to keep going, to be strong, to not let anyone see when we’re struggling. But the truth is, holding everything in doesn’t make it easier, it just makes it lonelier.

Some weeks are just hard.

And that doesn’t mean you’re failing. It doesn’t mean you’re ungrateful. It doesn’t take away from how much you love your family. It just means you’re human.

I think more of us need to say that out loud.

We need to check on each other more. Be honest more. Give space for people to say, “I’m not okay this week,” without feeling like they have to explain or apologize.

If this week has been hard for you too, I want you to know, you’re not alone. You don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t have to carry everything quietly.

Sometimes just admitting it’s been a hard week is a step toward healing.

Give yourself grace. Take things one moment at a time. And if you need to rest, really rest, let yourself.

You’re allowed to have hard weeks. And you’re still doing an amazing job. 💛
