Some days, being a mom feels like climbing a mountain with no top in sight. The laundry piles up, the kids are testing boundaries, and the to-do list is long. On those days, it's easy to feel like you're never doing enough.
I get it, I've been there, exhausted, stretched thin, and wonder if anyone notices the littlest things I do just to keep life moving. Raising adults with autism adds extra layers of joy, love, and yes, challenges. Some moments are full of laughter, tears, and breakthroughs, while others leave you questioning if you are getting it right.
Here's the truth: I don't always have it together, I yell, I lose my patience, I forget things, I constantly question myself and my decisions.
So if you're reading this while wiping a child's face, crying in the bathroom, or car, cleaning a spill, or just simply trying not to lose it, you're not alone. Give yourself grace, pour a cup of coffee, or your choice of drink, step outside for two minutes, and remember being a mom doesn't mean perfect, it means showing up every single day.
You're not failing, you're doing the best you can, and you are doing the hardest job on earth, and you're doing it with love.
